Who is Dicky Moore?
I'm Dicky Moore

I am inspired by:
the patterns of Bach
the passions of Bragg
super furry soundscapes
and angers of "A Down"
the histories of Trad
the ghosts of anon.

Call me Richard if you're angry. I'm a singer/songwriter/instumentalist who lives in London.
I wrote songs and played in the band Scintillate between 1994-2005.
Since then I've been playing guitar in Scritti Politti and have played with other bands and artists such as Frank Sidebottom and Scott's New Band.
I'm a vegetarian, an environmentalist and am passionate about many areas of science. My favourite book is "Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman" and I've recently enjoyed reading "The Fabric of Reality" by David Deutsch. Currently I'm working through "Gödel, Escher, Bach: an Eternal Golden Braid" by  Douglas R. Hofstadter, which is very exciting.
