"It's
About Time" is my first solo record. It holds a theme of escapism
throughout the songs, starting with "Something About You There".
Written in 1999, and inspired by the approaching turn of the millennium
and the Age of Aquarius, it speaks of escape from slavery, the
destruction of the old world and the birth of the new. Paradoxically,
the verses of "This Song" are about what they are not about, but it’s
choruses continues a recurring theme of escaping civilisation and being
self sufficient: "On
some desert island is our four season garden". The remaining two songs
are chapters in a story. Beginning with "Singing About My
Love" which pictures a futuristic rebellion, we see the building of
the "Spaceship Underdog", and it's launch in "It's About Time".
